Recently, I left my job. It was early summer. It didn’t take me long to decide that I wanted to grab my bike and just go. I was pretty sure that no matter where I headed, the journey would be unforgettable. So, I decided to ride north, toward Michinoku — the ancient, poetic name for Japan’s northeastern backwoods.
This is the overview map for my journey. The red line is the route, the pins point to the daily posts, and the photo markers open snapshots from along the way.
